More than 50% of the global wearables market is dominated by four firms namely: Apple, Huawei, Samsung and Xiaomi. As per the European privacy body, these devices track and maintain sensitive personal data from their users, and therefore entail a high level of risk to privacy and data protection.
Recently, Blockchain technology has been implemented in varying use cases beyond exchanging virtual coins. One such use case is in providing an effective security layer on top of data management infrastructures via smart contracts.
