Biography
Philip Andreae is a senior advisor at Voatz. Focused on driving the development of standards and the creation of alliances capable of enabling the world population to use their smartphone to participate in the critical democratic function of voting. He is also a management consultant & strategic thinker, focused on leading-edge products and technologies designed to address the challenges associated with securing critical systems.
For the last 25 years, Mr Andreae has been an advocate and active participant driving the global adoption of enhanced hardware security “the Chip Card” to replace the antiquated technologies originally designed to secure payment cards. Mr Andreae was one of the three executives that launched the development of EMV, the global standard for Payment Card security and more recently was the Secretary of the Board of the FIDO Alliance focused on authentication standards.
Over the last years, Mr Andreae has been promoting “What You Have” the things as the most effective way to secure our digital and connected world. Philip is promoting four key processes essential to digital trust and security: enrollment, proofing, registration and transacting. Ultimately built on hardware base authentication and policy-based authorization.
