Biography

Louis-P. Huard is a co-founder of Boréal Bikes. He has been focusing on improving road safety for all cyclists and vulnerable road users through active safety and the development of AI-enabled low latency mobile applications for micro-mobility. As a Research partner for leading transport authorities, his company has helped further investigate the potential of V2X for cyclists. He has developed a wearable HMI designed  specifically for Bike to V2X applications (smrtGRiPS). The smrtGRiPS and his data-rich E-bike have been extensively referenced in research papers, used for different smart cities and connected mobility applications and research.
 

Lately, Boréal Bikes was selected as a Top 5 Startup Emerging company in Mobility Connectivity by  Austrian startup hub, Startus. His company has been selected Top 5 Startup at the Orange 5G Challenge during the last Vivatech Paris, France’s premiere Tech Startup Event.Prior to Boréal Bikes, he was a product innovation specialist for clients: Blackberry, Unilever and Bell Canada among others, as he was involved in over 100 product launches. He is also a nerdy bike enthusiast that helps organize the local edition of Cyclehack, in Berlin, an annual event cycling hackathon for a truly sustainable future.
