Biography

Hannah Carlotta Koch is a researcher, inventor, and coach. Her profession is in textile engineering, design thinking, and material design. She has a passion for innovation and problem finding with a solid background in science, design, and engineering. She currently does her PhD at RWTH Aachen University and works as a freelance coach. Hannah is a graduate of the RWTH Aachen University, Germany granted with the Deutschland scholarship and graduated with a M.Sc. in Textile Engineering (with honor). She did research semesters at HongIk University, South Korea and TU Eindhoven, Netherlands. She is also a graduate in Design Thinking of the HPI d.school in Potsdam, Germany, sister institute of the Standford d.school. She has worked as a Design Thinking Coach and Strategic Designer as a freelancer and in a Berlin-based think tank for the future of work. Her research is about adaptive textiles, 4D materials, and user-centered material design.
