International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. For IWD2021, Wear It Berlin GmbH is excited to dive into FemTech with female leaders in the wearable tech industry. #ChooseToChallenge
Over the past 5 years, we have seen a sharp increase in the number of women developers, coders, innovators, and entrepreneurs in the wearable tech sector. Today, FemTech accounts for more than 200 startups worldwide, many of which have been founded and led by women. Women are revolutionising the wearable tech industry and spearheading FemTech. In the last decade, FemTech has been one of the most promising industries focused on women’s health. This sector includes fertility solutions, period-tracking app, pregnancy and nursing care, women’s sexual wellness, and reproductive system health care.
In this edition of ‘’Wear It Live’’ we invite experts from all related fields of FemTech and discuss their accomplishments, their biggest challenges and share insights into the opportunities for aspiring female entrepreneurs. For this year’s IWD2021 theme of #ChooseToChallenge, we will also hear how FemTech leaders challenge the status quo in the wearable tech industry and champion diversity.
