Getting from 1 to many – how to make your tested prototype designed for production
Prototypes are crucial in the project lifecycle journey. However, moving from prototype to new product introduction is not as easy as putting in a larger order that utilizes the same production process that was used to make the prototype.
It can often be a challenge for designers and manufacturers to find the best manufacturing process for high-volume production that is cost-effective and fast. In the wearable technology industry, it is even more important to acquire certifications (for medical products) and have to align with the GDPR as one has to deal with the sensitive personal information of the user. These requirements could sometimes take up to 5 years.
In this edition of “Wear It Live” we invite experts from all related fields to discuss the different stages of scaling a wearable tech business from prototype to mass production.
