In the last years, wearable tech established their role in the high-risk industries and suggested valuable solutions for risk management at the workplace. With sensors or wearables embedded in personal protective equipment (PPE), safety managers can gain a great deal of information, from the number of times a worker lifts a heavy object correctly to that worker’s level of engagement in safety. Moreover, such functions as detection of the location, alert and live assistance became essential for the proper working conditions where a high rate of the occurrence is part of the daily routine.
In this edition of “Wear It Live” we invite experts from all related fields to discuss how exactly the close to body tech and smart textiles can modify working conditions, prevent injuries or even save someone’s life. Also, we will have a look at the future perspective of collaboration between wearables products and safety clothing manufactures and the most promising trends for protective clothing.
