1st Anniversary of Wear It Live Virtual Event Series
On 15th July 2021, Wear It Berlin celebrates the 1st anniversary of the Wear It Live virtual event series. With a total of 18 online events so far, the Wear It Live series has been a great success story. It brought together more than 2500 participants, over 100 speakers and 50+ startups.
Last year in April 2020 during the start of the 1st lockdown in Germany due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Wear It Berlin had to cancel its yearly Wear It Innovation Summit 2020 due to safety regulations and looked for other ways to connect with its community.
We realized the importance of digital tools/platforms (Hopin, Zoom, Skype, etc.) and decided to do a one-off event on 15th July 2020 focusing on *Wearable-Tech beyond the crisis* to provide insights about the innovative work being done in various industries during the crisis and the opportunities for a post-corona world.
We received positive feedback from our community which made us continue to organize further events. The virtual series grew up to a bi-monthly virtual event and now it has become the core of Wear It Berlin. We have managed to connect cross-industrial experts from FashionTech to HealthTech to SexTech across 100+ countries.
We are very proud of all our team members who worked incredibly hard during the pandemic and allowed the series to be a great success.
